And for Ambitious Academy, our founder — Mr. Chin Wei Choong — is someone who truly changed his life by changing the way he thinks.

When he was young, he was just like many others — depending on his family, not too sure what the future would bring.
Then one day, his father passed away.
That was the day reality hit.
He asked himself, “My dad is gone, the family has no income now… what should I do?”

That moment woke him up.
He started to think: If life’s main classroom isn’t in school, can I continue learning from society instead?
He realized that being successful isn’t just about having good grades.
As long as you’re willing to learn, to ask questions, and to stay humble, you can also become a “top student” in real life.
That simple change in mindset became the turning point of his journey.

Later, when he stepped into the working world, he proved himself through hard work and ability.
But eventually, his limited academic background became a barrier — a “career ceiling” he couldn’t break.
That experience pushed him to change his thinking again: instead of waiting for chances, he decided to create his own.
That’s how his entrepreneurial journey began.

Through those ups and downs, he also came to understand what many young people are facing today —
those who struggle with both financial pressure and poor grades.
They’re not lazy; they just need a chance.

That’s when he thought:
Is there a way for these students to still continue their studies, even when money is tight?
And from that idea, Ambitious Academy was born.

Mr. Chin Wei Choong has always believed that a student’s potential isn’t defined by grades,
but by their mindset, attitude, and willingness to learn.
That’s why Ambitious Academy breaks away from the traditional system.
We don’t judge students by their exam results — we focus on giving them a second chance,
an opportunity to rebuild confidence and rediscover their self-worth.

To make this vision real, Mr. Chin and his team created a unique “Enterprise–Academy–Student” model.
In this model, the academy works closely with partner companies to connect education and employment.
Students receive hands-on technical and vocational training while studying,
and after graduation, they move into internships or jobs with those same companies.
This approach helps lighten students’ financial burdens while giving businesses job-ready talent.
