If you check JobStreet, you’ll see there are currently over 400 video production positions and 600 media production positions open. But if you read the job descriptions carefully, you’ll notice many companies are not just looking for people who “can shoot videos” or “can design.”
They want someone who can create content and knows how to make that content go viral online.
According to Indeed 2024 data, the average monthly salary for digital marketers is RM3,145. But those who can both create content and understand marketing usually earn more because they can do more.
What’s happening in the market?
Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) reports that digital investments in 2024 created over 48,000 job opportunities—more than double compared to 2023.
These jobs are not the traditional kind where “one job equals one task.” They require you to:
- Be able to shoot and edit videos, and do designs
- Know how to attract people online
- Use new tools to work faster
- Understand reports and know what to improve
Put simply, jobs now demand more. If you only know one skill, you can’t compete.
Why do you need to “know a lot of things” now?
Work methods have changed
Previously, one person shot the ad, another did the design, and another placed the ad. That’s too slow now. Companies prefer people who “know a bit of everything” because communication is faster and work gets done quicker.
New technology has changed a lot
There are now many new tools (like AI) that can help you work, but you need to know how to use them. People who only know one skill are more likely to be left behind.
Many young people don’t want regular jobs—they want freelance work
Not everyone wants a 9-to-5 job. If you want to take on clients or run your own projects, it’s important to be able to handle everything yourself. Clients also prefer someone who can deliver a complete package.
What do we teach?
Our course in Johor Bahru is designed to turn you into the kind of talent companies want.
Learn two skills at once, earn two certificates
You study once and get two certificates:
- Diploma in Creative Multimedia (BTEC accredited, internationally recognized)
- Digital Marketing Certificate
No need to study separately or pay twice. 2 years, 4 semesters—everything completed.
Small classes, personalized attention
Each class only has 15–20 students. Not like those huge classes where the teacher doesn’t know you. Small class sizes mean teachers can guide each student individually.
Learn the latest skills
Content creation:
- How to shoot and edit videos (using cameras, Adobe Premiere, etc.)
- How to do design (posters, logos, product images)
- How to create 3D content (many companies need this now, using Blender, etc.)
Digital marketing:
- How to run ads on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
- How to get found on Google (SEO)
- How to read reports and check ad effectiveness (Google Analytics, etc.)
New tools:
- How to use AI tools to work faster (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.)
- How to use new software to save time
We don’t just teach theory; we teach skills you can actually use.
Hands-on, not just reading
From the first semester, you will be making real projects—not just homework. You’ll graduate with a portfolio ready to show companies or post online for clients.
In 2 years, you will learn to:
- Create a complete video from scratch (from idea to editing)
- Design a brand’s entire identity (logo, colors, style)
- Run online ads (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads)
- Use new tools to work faster (AI tools, new software)
- Read data and know what to improve (reports, etc.)
Accommodation for out-of-state students
If you’re coming from another state, we have dormitories. No need to worry about finding a place or roommates.
